Description

Specifications

Peucellir Linkage Drive is a manually operated working model designed for Theory of Machines and Kinematics Laboratory applications. It demonstrates the Peucellier–Lipkin linkage mechanism and its principle of converting rotary motion into accurate straight-line motion. The model consists of multiple rigid metal links connected through turning/pin joints, with a driving link and output link mounted on a rigid base/frame. It is suitable for studying link motion, relative motion, mechanism inversion, straight-line motion generation and kinematic analysis. The unit is of metal construction with a durable painted/powder-coated finish, requires no electrical power, and is suitable for use in engineering colleges, polytechnics, ITIs and technical training laboratories.

Range of Experiments

  1. Study the Peucellier Linkage Drive mechanism.
  2. Demonstrate inversion of the mechanism.
  3. Study conversion of rotary motion into reciprocating/straight-line motion.
  4. Verify the exact straight-line motion produced by the linkage.
  5. Study the relative motion of the links.
