Description

Expt.No.1 Equivalent Spring mass system free vibrations:
Study of un-damped free vibrations of beam
pivoted at one end supported by tension spring at
the other end.
Expt.No.2 Equivalent Spring mass system
forced vibrations: Study of damped forced
vibrations of beam pivoted at one end supported by
tension spring at the other end & to plot a graph of
amplitude versus frequency.
Expt.No.3 Dunkerley’s Rule:
To find out the natural frequency of beam with and
without load and to verify the Dunkerley’s Rule.
Expt.No.4 To study the forced vibrations for
various amount of damping and to plot a graph of
amplitude versus frequency

VIB-LAB – 3
TORSIONAL VIBRATIONS –
Expt.No.1 Single Rotor System
To verify the relations
T = 2p
And to study the relationship between the periodic time and shaft length
Expt.No.2 Two Rotors System
To verify the relation
T = 2 and to plot a graph F2 V/s 1/ IA
Expt.No.3 Single Rotor with viscous damping
To find out the damping coefficient ‘Ct’ for various depths of damping drum (immersed in Oil) and to plot a graph of damping torque Vs depth of damping drum.
