Universal Governor Apparatus

Range of Experiments –
1) For all types of Governors,
a) Determination of characteristic curve of sleeve position against speed of rotation.
b) Derivation of the actual controlling force curves from the above characteristics and
comparison with theoretically predicted controlling force curves.
2) Porter and Proell Governors – The effect of varying the mass of the center sleeve.
3) Hartnell Governor – The effect of varying the following parameter. Initial spring
compression

2) Speed Control Unit working on single phase AC 230 V Supply with 0-200V. DC out put
